At the Circulation and Reserve Desk :
Currebt issues of journals and magazines are shelved in alphabetical order in the Tiffany Room area. Bound journals can be retrieved from the old student center by filling out a paging slip at the Circulation Desk. Microfilm and microfiche readers and printers are available in the area near the New Books display. A collection of current newspapers is found on the shelves in the computer printer alcove. A few of these titles are displayed daily on a rack near the IT Collection. |

The Book Stacks, or Circulating Collection, begins on the First Floor with LC call numbers A through N, and continues on the Second Floor with LC call numbers P through Z. |

Research Computers can be used for searching the library's online databases, the Internet, and CONSULS, the CSU online catalog. CONSULS provides access to holdings at SCSU, as well as CCSU, ECSU, WCSU, and the State Library.

The Reference Collection includes books such as encyclopedias, dictionaries, almanacs, and statistical sources; Electronic Resources; Maps and Atlases; and print Periodical Indexes and Abstracts. |

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) services are available for SCSU students, faculty, and staff. The purpose of ILL is to borrow books not found in the Connecticut State Library System, and journal articles not found within the Buley Library collections. ILL request forms are found both online on the Buley Library home page, and at the Circulation Desk. |

Technical Services is where books and other materials are processed before being shelved in the library collection. |
