What to do if
Buley Library doesn't own the book you need:
- If you find a
book in CONSULS and CCSU, ECSU, or WCSU has an available copy, click on the Request link and fill out the
form. It takes 3-5 working days for the book to get to Buley. Make sure you
choose "SCSU Circulation Desk" from the Pickup Location menu.
You'll need a library PIN in order to request the book. If you don't have a PIN, follow the directions for creating one.
- If you need
a book that doesn't appear in CONSULS, you have 2 options:
- Use iCONN, the Connecticut Digital Library's catalog or WorldCat
to find out if any libraries in the area own the book, and arrange to go to the library yourself. It's a good idea to
call the other library before you go and ask whether you'll be able to check
books out.
- Fill out an
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) form. It can take 2 or more weeks for ILL books to arrive, so plan ahead.
This service is available only for books not owned by a CSU library.
